World Famous Dock Lunch in Penetanguishene

Absolutely phenomenal 2 pc fish and chips!I've eaten at every fish and chip stand from TO to Muskoa and hands down world famous is number 1.

Great staff, Delicious fish (small fish serving though but amazing taste) and wonderful location. A must stop when in town. Highly recommended!

Convenient to stop at for a quick lunch off the boat, food was typical burgers, hotdogs, poutine, salad, mostly all come with fries and for under $12. Bathrooms were dirty, slippery and smelly. Dogs not allowed in the outside seating area which is ridiculous since a ton of people boat with their pets ... Would return out of necessity but not make a trip for this place specifically.

It's a fantastic place by the doc. It is scenic outside the atmosphere is amazing. The food is perfect for the location. The fish and chips are done perfectly. We also teied the milkshake it delicious.

The Banquet Burger is always great. Fries are thin cut and salty! Milkshakes are awesome. Good spot after a day on the water.

I'm girl friday there. They know what I want, and the food is always hot and delicious. Anything from the gyros dinner to the homemade hamburger they are World Famous for. There fries are the best around and the free gravy makes them even better. So wherever you live its worth the drive. The staff is so friendly.

Best place ever all year round although the owner could add a few new options to menu or use substitutions as an option. Many people now a days would prefer healthier choices at decent prices.

Nice place to stop for lunch

We first ate here 3 years ago.The condiment station was messy and needed to be refilled.Our kids and myself wouldn't eat the hot dog or fries. Soggy fries and odd tasting hot dogs (boiled chicken dogs maybe?)We were all disappointed in the food. We recently had family visit and walked down to the dock. We had the ice cream and that is the only item I would get here.I have heard they have decent Greek food but I can't bring myself to try it and have another situation where I leave hungry and with less money in my wallet.

Yesterday I thought it would be fun to take my 90 year old grandmother out for lunch to the dock lunch. She hasn't been here in years. What a mistake! They wouldn't let her order of the kiddie menu. The food was bland and tasteless. Fries were undercooked. No air conditioning.We ended up eating in our car watching the boats. I tossed out half my food. Should have gotten a whopper is was Wednesday after all.

Best homemade hamburger. Tastes way better than any fast food burgers and most family style restaurants. The view is great as well.

Fish and chips were a great lunch for a Saturday!The view was nice, albeit cloudy. For our experience the lady taking the orders was very friendly and nice and the patio pretty clean with a good view of the water!

Friendly fast service. Good hot food. Single fish piece, not very big. Skip the fries they are chewy! But the view is priceless and for 4hat, I ll be back🤗

Such a great spot for local eats by the water. If they were more organized with taking/preparing and delivering orders, I would have rated them a 5, but because I had to wait 30 minutes for just a fries (with gravy that I got to pour on myself via their self-serve gravy station), the experience changed my mind unfortunately.

Nothing fancy but the fish and chips were decent. Be aware that they only take cash or debit though. It's right on the snowmobile trail and offers an awesome view of the lake.

would definitely not recommend. When i read horrible reviews i usually think they are just being harsh. Not the case for this restaurant. To begin, they served people who came after us first. The server had attitude, whenever we asked a question the answered the rudest way possible. It took forever for them to take my order and once they did it took over 30 mins for 1 burger. After it was ready the server let it sit there for another 10 mins, it would of been longer if i didnt ask if it was my burger. When i asked she responded bu rudely saying i am working on it. Her co-worker got mad and said if your working on it actually do the work. So i got my burger. The only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating and not one star because the food was decent chicken burger was good but fries were a bit bland. DO NOT GO HERE

People are very nice and the food is great

For a "Canadian Tourism Destination" the quality and selection of food served here is embarrassing. It's just a sickening cash grab. Everything is frozen and fried, the menu clearly hasn't changed since the 50's and it also looks like thats when the restaurant was last cleaned properly. The only good thing here is the view, you'd think the staff would be happy to take your 10$ for poutine but they aren't. Poutine was very basic, fries are just about the lowest grade you could find.

well forget the name. it is a fast food restaurant which live from the location on the lake. nothing else nothing special. do not exspect anything famous here.

Dock Lunch is a staple of Penetanguishene's history. The town itself is certainly not known for it's quality these days, but Dock Lunch has never lost a step. Get a burger with their poutine, and enjoy your night!

Homemade and handmade everything. A taste you wont find anywhere else

Been going here since the 90s. It’s a 5-star for what it is: a casual, unpretentious, old-school summertime diner. Food is tasty and affordable, and the vibe is great. Only thing that could be improved is if the hours went later. But any time I am in town in the summer, I will make a stop here, especially around sunset. Nice place to chow down on some fries and a burger and watch the boats come and go.

If you are a local, this place is home. Which also means you get served faster. It also probably means you won't get hit by a senior citizen who has no business behind the wheel while backing out of his stall in the parking lot. Thankfully we were only emotionally scared and well fed.

Absolutely worst customer service experience ever. Waited no exaggeration over 30 minutes for a small poutine! Literally just one small poutine. Reminded them they didn’t even rush it. Didn’t wash hands once, the entire visit. Absolutely disgusting no gloves used either. If you want to catch COVID this is the place to go. STAY CLEAR!

A great atmosphere for a lunch along Georgian Bay. Service is a bit slow and it is a bit expensive for what you get but it’s more about the experience and atmosphere. Lots of car parking as well as free parking for boats along the dock. Great spots to sit outside and watch the boats come in and out of the harbour.

Fries lousy, fish small, no butter on roll.

The server was pushy...soggy french drys...no malts vinegar..fish was mushy...waited 25 min for food...very expensive for what we got..60.00 for 2 small pieces of fish, 6 shrimp, 2 frys and a chicken burger... never again for me.

This placed is exceptional! There were two of us and my friend was disabled. By the time she got out of her vehicle, an employee had come out and opened both doors then told us to have a seat after we ordered and they brought our lunch to us. They had older music on which we loved sitting there reminiscing and talking. Before long we had put in 2 hours. The Dock staff weren't trying to push us out and when we apologized they said it was no problem and you could tell it wasn't. I've always loved this place for their food but the service today was exceptional!

Yummy food, nice place to look around, but there isn’t any table service or large places to sit down. That being said they have an amazing gravy and their milkshakes are amazing! Love dropping by here for lunch!
